Free lemonade stand

Lemonade stands are a common sight in the summer, and Sunkist is offering free ones to kids if they donate the money they make to charity.

Sunkist is inviting kids 7 to 12 years old across America to Take a Stand® for their favorite charity. Thanks to the increasing number of heartfelt pledges received in the past few years, Sunkist plans to give out 20,000 free lemonade stands in 2008 to thoughtful kids eager to make a difference.

Based on eligibility, the free lemonade stands will be distributed on a first come, first served basis and limited to one stand per household.

To be eligible for a free lemonade stand, you must:
Register on the Web site
Be a child between the ages of 7 and 12 years old
Live in the continental United States or Canada

Sunkist incurs the shipping cost for each stand, however, by accepting a free lemonade stand participants understand that all expenses incurred to run the stand are the sole responsibility of the participant.

It is at the participant’s discretion to donate the money to the charity of their choice. If you haven’t made up your mind yet on your charity, the Web site offers tips to help you choose a local charity that’s important to you.

  1. Yes, but living in Loudoun County, Virginia, with all the state, county and homeowner association rules and regulations designed to better our lives – do we have to have our stand approved by the Health Department and Homeowner’s Association?
