If you’d like to get out of town for a holiday break, check out the Holiday Homecoming this Saturday at Shenandoah Caverns in Quicksburg, Va., about an hour and 45 minutes away from Herndon.
In addition to the 1-mile circuit of Caverns, attractions include American Celebration on Parade (a parade float exhibition), Main Street of Yesteryear (animated figures from the past), and the Yellow Barn (historic displays and collections related to farm life). This Saturday only, admission is free to those attractions.
Caverns Tours are at the group rate of $12 all day, with a special cave tour at 4 p.m. – just $6!
