If your gingerbread house has been falling down around you, it may be time to turn to an expert.
Many Christmas programs and activities, some of them free, around NoVa include decorating a gingerbread house but I came across a sign at a local bakery that caught my eye: Gingerbread House Building Classes, offered by an award-winning chef! That would be Dalo de la Paz, pastry chef and owner of Patisserie Lille Bakery at the Village Center at Dulles, aka as the clocktower center.
He’s offering the classes for kids on Sundays this month at four different times: 10 a.m., Noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The classes are for children ages 7 years and older, and they reuire a minimum of eight kids, maximum of 15. The classes cost $27.99 per child.
The bakery offers the most delectable creations every time I stop in there, so the gingerbread houses have gotta be worth it. Here’s the info if you’re interested:
