Kids at the movies

Want to take the kids to the movies, but worried your infant will bother other movie patrons? At least one northern Virginia theater offers days when you can bring your baby: Fairfax Corner 14: Cinema De Lux, part of the National Amusement Theaters chain, has a Baby Pictures program that offers infant-friendly features such as dim lighting and lower volume. The next Baby Pictures showing is at 10 a.m. May 22, and the feature that day will be Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Tickets are $6.25; for more information, call the theater at 703-502-4060.
In time for the summer, I’ve put together a new Page, NoVa Kids at the Movies, listing the theaters with clickable links to their family-friendly programs, including free family films starting in June. I also created an easy-to-read Schedule with details about the programs.
If you know of other theaters that offer free films or family-friendly programs, please let me know by filling out the contact form below. Thanks!
