National Junior Ranger Day

This week is National Park Week, ending Sunday, April 27. Of most interest to the little ones is National Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 26, with special activities “designed to help children and families connect with parks in ways that engage them with the theme, ‘Explore, Learn, Protect: Be a Junior Ranger.'”

In NoVa, Shenandoah National Park’s activities for families take place from 8:30 a.m.-8:15 p.m. For a schedule of the day’s events at Shenandoah National Park, click here.  Special “Junior Ranger Day” buttons and certificates will be available.  There is no charge for the programs, and there’s no need to register.
