It’ll probably be crowded, but the Newseum will be opening April 11 and admission will be free that day. Visitors will be admitted to DC’s newest museum — which features seven levels, five centuries of news history, hands-on exhibits and state-of-the-art technology — on a first-come, first-served basis.
Located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street, N.W., the museum is open 9-5 every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
After opening day, tickets will be $20 for ages 13-64; $18 for 65 and older; $13 for 7-12; and free for kids 6 and younger. You can buy advance tickets online or call 888/NEWSEUM (888/639-7386).
